Version 2 HTML form with PHP handling post

I am trying to move from using an older captcha, which I have used for several years on my website as the bots have begun to send Spam through the contact form.  I am investigating using a reCAPTCHA, I have been unable to get it to work with the HTML form with

used to handle the form when it is submitted.  I have found code for the php form for version 1, but it does not seem to work with version 2.  Am I being a complete idiot?  I admit my coding abilities are limited, although I can usually figure things out.  Is there a step by step guide available to help setting up version 2 with php handling of the forms submitted through HTML. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "reCAPTCHA" group.
