What is the point of reCAPTCHA???

So, you say it's used to help identify words that were not scanned correctly.But I don't understand how that is supposed to be possible.After all, what the user gets when he is confronted with a reCAPTCHA is the incorrect gibberish that was scanned. But the user is not actually able to help in any sort of way because the user must input the incorrect gibberish. There is no room for interpretation or correction, unless you input the exact same gibberish you see in the image, you don't get to progress to your download / link / whatever.So all this accomplishes is confirm the gibberish that was scanned, not give any sort of help on what the gibberish was actually meant to be. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "reCAPTCHA" group.
