Re: Never Validates, page is ALWAYS invalid

This is quite a common problem with reCAPTCHA V1. Check out this site: http://bit.ly/1LhpYoP Wait forever to get a Validation. It's a total pain. On Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 4:57:56 AM UTC+1, Michelle wrote: This is a website that I've had around forever, ASP.NET.  I have used the recaptcha control for years, no problem.  I made a small change to the web page, shouldn't have really affected the recaptcha at all as what i changed was just some back end database code.  Since then however, no matter what i do, this thing just won't validate. I started out with an older version and I kept getting the error "value cannot be null parameter name:Challenge".  I looked up this error and lots of people said it would be a visibility issue, but this is on a postback from a button click, so there isn't even a chance to have changed the visibility.  I finally followed another bit of advice from a forum and upgraded my version of the .dll  Now instead of the above error message it just fails the Page.IsValid every single time, no matter what anyone puts in. The code is very simple: If Not Page.IsValid Then             TplCommentError.Text = "Please try again to decipher the scrambled letters"          Exit Sub          End If -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "reCAPTCHA" group. Google reCAPTCHA v2 - Resize widget

Google reCAPTCHA v2 widget has 2 defined size: 'normal' and 'compact' But we still need resize to fix our form. How can do that? I hacked like this
It will fix our form button image on widget will be scaled and blurred (especially on Retina Display) I hope Google will fix this by detecting browser and use SVG image for 'Recycle Icon' and 'Spinner' Thank Google reCAPTCHA Team! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "reCAPTCHA" group. noscript version not displaying the textarea to post verification code into

I have added the noscript html from the Google instructions to my login page:
This produces a 2 word captcha as expected but on successful verification I get an iframe saying ''Copy this code and paste it in the empty box below" and a field with the code in it (see screenshot). However, the textarea to paste the code in is hidden by the iframe. Surely this should be a part of the frame so it sits just below the text? Has anyone got this working and can tell me how it should look on screen? Thanks. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "reCAPTCHA" group. Stop asking me about low rez food images!

Here's a suggestion: let the users choose what kind of captcha they want to solve. I'm sick of these food captchas. Not only do they take much longer to solve (5+ seconds vs 2 seconds for number captchas), the definitions are often vague and confusing. What is a salad? Does it still count if there's a little meat on it? or if it's a part of a plate with other stuff on it? Now it would have been fine if the question says select 2 images so I can select the 2 that look most like salad, but it doesn't, and I have to CAREFULLY inspect EACH picture. Even then I can still get it wrong because you're asking a question without giving the exact criteria for a correct answer. Also, the images are too low rez for 2015. At 150% zoom they're uncomfortably blurry to look at, and I only have a 1080p screen. It will look worse on the higher rez screens that are common these days.I much rather solve number/word captchas. Can't we have a option stored in the cookies to always do number/word captchas? or differently themed captchas with cars, buildings, etc? It would make a lot of people's (especially international users') lives easier. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "reCAPTCHA" group.
