3 Reasons why you should move to a Cloud server from an In-house or on site Server

Small medium businesses (SMB’s) often confront this business decision and tend to rely on unrealistic numbers that lean towards buying In-house servers. The reasons laid out below will give you clear reasons that will help you make a more beneficial decision. Cost and Scalability: In-house servers always require heavy upfront investments, a sudden surge in need for additional servers adds to the complexity by limiting your options to depart from your initial choices of Hardware you have made. What does this mean? Well...when a need for additional resources are required you are still stuck with the same hardware provider and are not protected from any price variations owing to changes in technology or shortage of add on devices. This can be in the form of additional memory, additional Hard disk drives. Cloud servers aka Virtual servers protect you from all these headaches. Increased Capabilities & Lower IT Management: SMB’s that rely on In-house infrastructure often worry about IT Support contracts, constant up keep of facilities, sourcing right IT personnel and bottlenecks that arise to source additional hardware from the right & reliable vendors. With Cloud/Virtual server options Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) has become predominantly a viable option to negate and stray away from the above bottle necks that arise from managing and increasing the capabilities of In-house servers. There is a Security framework: As against the popular misconceived notion, Cloud/Virtual servers do have security and back up options. Security has been one of the primary reasons why SMB’s shy away from remote cloud/virtual servers. Iaas models available in the industry do have built-in security features such as firewalls and server back-up options extended to the end users.
