reCaptcha 2.0 deleting session attributes

Our organization has a web site currently using reCaptcha 1.0 as part of authentication.  We are trying to upgrade to version 2,0 but have run into a problem.  Here's the scenario... Once the user clicks on the check box, if reCaptcha does not automatically display a green check but instead display the image collection for the user to choose this seems to be deleting session attributes that have been created by our web application (i.e. security objects).  This only happens if the user is asked to choose from the image collection.  This application is running on Weblogic 10.3.3.
