Re: Captcha returns true after validation even mismatch words.

Necessarily reCaptcha needs to allow "passes" for human answers, as it does not (always) know the correct answer. This is what reCaptcha is all about: finding a) the correct spelling of snippets from Google's digitized books that their OCR digitization efforts could not disambiguateorb) provide the correct numerical values for Google Street View numbers etc.If Google/reCaptcha already knew (for sure) what each of these "strings" means, then it would not have to use the reCaptcha crowd intelligende to decipher them. That said, at least in the first (few) instances will reCaptcha let you pass, as your (wrong) answer is "as good as anyone's". I presume that if you did instead answer instead if "callph appranme" with "Sheikh Nazaf" Google reCaptcha would not let you pass because it knows a rough probability of what the correctly transcribed words would have to look like.RegardsDarraghOn Monday, 19 May 2014 19:17:09 UTC+2, Sridhar Thrasu wrote: Image words: caliph appronme entered words: callph appranme Validatin: Pass -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "reCAPTCHA" group.
