I am a newbie also, and you are way ahead of me. I seek the HTML codes for my contact form, and iPage (my host) will apply it, hopefully. As you say, everyone says these things are easy, but not so for me. I am an author of books not a computer techie. I wish you well. This is what I've done thus far: - Extracted the RAR file 'recaptcha' and placed it into my cgi-bin. - Pulled the recaptchalib.php file out of this folder and placed it into the root directory of my website. - opened the example-recaptcha.php file that comes with the download from recaptcha website. - I then changed the API codes to what I received from the recaptcha website - I copied all this code and inserted it at the bottom of my form html on my contact page - As you can see from the link, it ain't looking good! Problems I've had along the way: - Trying to just test the PHP file without inserting it in my contact page code ie: pushing F12 (use dreamweaver). It comes up saying I need to set up a testing server? Is this because the PHP language requires this? What options do I need to select if I have to set this up? - I then uploaded the PHP file to the net and tried previewing it in a browser - I then saved the same file as a html file since the example file has html tags at the top and bottom of it, but it's saved as a PHP file. Uploaded it and previewed it. Still nothing. Look forward to anyone who can help me!
