http://api-verify.recaptcha.net/verify - when is it retiring?

Recently found out the hard way that the reCaptcha script URL http://api.recaptcha.net/js/recaptcha_ajax.js doe snot work. The script was moved to new URL http://www.google.com/recaptcha/api.Surprisingly the verification URL(http://api-verify.recaptcha.net/verify)is still available.
