Tough On Bots Easy On Humans?

I just re-installed a new Re-CAPTCHA after hearing that Google has made it a lot easier for humans to read, and on their intro page @http://bit.ly/1rEJZuv they only use numbers.. Yet when i installed it the old complicated letters and numbers still displays, i've tested on all browsers and different PC's and still get the same old CAPTCHA..
