Can't read
I have seen similar security things to yours. But yours is entirely unreadable. I have to help people with job apps and we can go through 10 to20 screens till we can find one readable. And forget the audio. I had to do one myself for an inquiry I wanted to make and ended up quitting because I could not get passed your tag. So I never got my question answered. Do businesses really want to keep people out.

The new captcha's are impossible
Hey google I just spent 20 minutes trying to solve your stupid ridiculous captcha's I'm 100% sure it was typed in correctly and it made no difference. Some of them were even illegible. The ones with the black dots, where you can't tell which word is the fake word, you need to bring back the old system because this one is impossible and annoying. The recaptcha div is hidden on load of the modal window. The error i got is given below. reCAPTCHA using IE 8 (black spot behind letters)
Hello, I work for a company that uses IE 8 as default browser (it's not my call!). They have been suffering some issues regarding the captchas: they appear with a black spot behind the frase. This seems to increase the already difficult captcha and they want to remove it (some users tested the same page using Chrome and it doesn't appear there). Require two Recaptcha on the same page in JQUERY
Before you ask WHY..? Listen to the situation..Backend is PHP..We have a page which has form and we implemented the ReCaptcha on it. Next we have a link which calls JQUERY Ajax function to load the second Re-Captcha over a popup form page. Basically a popup appears with new form and ReCaptcha on it.. This ReCaptcha woks via AJAX API call..Here is the scenario..As soon as the popup loads and the recaptcha appears on this page, for some reason the recaptcha inside the form below disappears. Even if we close the popup, the form recaptcha is gone.Can someone suggest why is this happening and how this can be handled?FYI:Both the form have different names, both the DIV inside which the Recaptcha appears are different. Google reCaptcha is extremely difficult to read.
We have been using reCaptcha in our application login page for verification but from last Friday 10th Jan 2014 all of our users are facing problem is getting the reCaptcha code verified correctly as it is no longer even humanly readable format. Is there any changes has been posted or any policy has been changed by Google? Issue with the display tags in firefox and chrome
Hi,I am working on a site which uses the google recaptcha and in firefox and chrome alone I see issues wherein text is displayed for both audio and image. That is the both the tags "recaptcha_only_if_image" and "recaptcha_only_if_audio" are displayed as true which results in the image as attached. I haven't been able to get leads as yet. My site has been up and running close to a year and someone pointed out to me that recaptcha is no longer working. I tracked it down to the keys being completely different. Also, they now appear to be global keys. How did this happen? I've not changed the keys and I've not received any emails telling me the keys have changed. This is totally ridiculous. ReCaptcha is broken/too hard?
Sites I use that use recaptcha have this captchas the one I added.I would say the captcha is "rmwlyrmy yknkrwhy" but after entering that it says wrong captcha, the same with the one with the text in the picture. From being easily solvable and you could even ignore the second one to an unreadable two worded piece of crap. WHY!? You're lucky if you refresh more than 5 times to get a readable captcha now. BUT before I hit confirm, I remembered that on the site says if I got the word that "is known" right, the system would assume the other word is right too... so I changed the letters in one of the words, and ... Recaptcha limit before giving unreadable ones
There seems to be a recent change that imposes a relatively low limit of captcha submissions, maybe 25-50, before I start getting the unreadable ink-blot style ones for the rest of the day. I read elsewhere that happens if you enter too many wrong captchas from the same IP, but I at most only get maybe 2 wrong per day, so that can't be the reason. And nowadays, recaptcha is everywhere, so on an active web surfing day I may be presented with up to 100 of them. After I hit the limit I'm forced to use a web proxy if I need to enter a recaptcha, which is horrible usability.Also, there was a lot of recent news about recaptcha supposedly going to be easier for real people and show digitis instead of words. What is the point of reCAPTCHA???
So, you say it's used to help identify words that were not scanned correctly.But I don't understand how that is supposed to be possible.After all, what the user gets when he is confronted with a reCAPTCHA is the incorrect gibberish that was scanned. But the user is not actually able to help in any sort of way because the user must input the incorrect gibberish. Google discriminates Firefox users.
So since yesterday my reCaptcha codes were extremely hard to read, after a bit of investigation, it turned out that installing User Agent Switcher and changing my user agent to Chrome 32 on Windows 8 (as opposed to Firefox Nightly on Linux) it brings back the more readable images. I've switched the user agent back and forth a few times to confirm that it's the case and it is, any reason as to why it's happening other than "you're not using our product, so we'll serve you harder images until you decide to use Chrome."?Also excuse me if it's a wrong group to post about it but I couldn't find any complaints-specific section on their contact page regarding reCaptcha. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "reCAPTCHA" group. I wouldn't say reCAPTCHA sucks, it has been a good product although somewhat difficult to use.But lately they increased the difficulty and I'm finding almost impossible to pass the test now. It's getting to the point that I'll have to just quit using sites that use reCAPTCHA. Just today a download site I use changed to a new reCAPTCHA and it took me about 30 attempts to finally prove I'm a human. Half the time the image was so distorted I didn't even bother, and hit reload. The other half of the time I made attempts at it even though I knew I was doing a lot of guessing, and kept failing. It must be about the 30th attempt I finally got past the test.This is ridiculous. I have normal sight and by now you've probably realized I'm not a spam bot.Are you trying to make it impossible for humans to pass the test? Hey, I'm a human, but just today I was trying to use a site that has reCAPTCHA and it's gotten so difficult that it took me about 30 attempts to prove I'm human. (The site was fine yesterday, they changed the captcha today).Don't you think this is getting a bit too ridiculous???Whats the end game? Make sites so that nobody can use them? Not robots, not humans, nobody?Please give a reason for this craziness. I'd at least like to understand what's happening although I'll probably have to quit using the site. The fact is that the reCAPTCHA documentation is very minimal and just shows you what can work. If you want it to be user-friendly, you are left to your own creativity. If I understand your post correctly, you simply wan the reCAPTCHA to behave more user-friendly when an invalid entry is made by the web visitor. There are dozens of ways to approach this, but I have "published" my PHP solution here: http://spectrum-nashville.com/reCAPTCHA/demo.php You can download the ZIP file with all the code and use it if you like. The page linked above actually uses the code as an example, so try it out by entering an invalid response and see if it does what you want. I have spent so much time on this. I have follow the php plugin instructions of Captcha to the letter and replace the keys. When somebody enters an incorrect word, the file that process the form takes the person to a different page displaying "The reCAPTCHA wasn't entered correctly. Go back and try it again.(reCAPTCHA said: incorrect-captcha-sol)" only. instead of refreshing the page and showing different words. When I try the first time it worked, but when I changed directories and reroute everything it doesn't anymore. I have start fresh several times and nothing. How do I reverse an email that was submitted to reCAPTCHA?
How do I reverse an email that was submitted to reCAPTCHA? I was expermenting with myown site and forms when I hadn't known enough or really read through reCAPTCHA, so I gave email that i use often thinking that I could just remove and resupply a better fit email once I get it all working and tested - little I had known this isn't the case for what it seems right now.. I have removed these reCAPTCHA from my sites, forms, and went into my reCAPTCHA accounts and removed all URL's/sites that will be using the reCAPTCHA, as well keys for the api.... However now a few months later after REMOVEAL this reCAPTCHA and the original personal email that was submitted is still being blocked and still getting many complaints... anyway to reverse an email thet was being used? so far is the only answer is to create new email accounts and dumping my original that was submitted? or is there a way in reversal? I agree. I installed reCAPTCHA and I also keep getting spam bots bypassing the captcha trap. I would like to increase a little bit the difficulty of the captchas, because it seems pretty evident that the spam bots are now using some sort of OCR that easily bypassess this security measures.
